Welcome to our site. We've created it to keep our friends and family updated on our lives, which has been turned upside down at the moment. We hope you enjoy.

Snow!

Here is a picture of our first snow fall. As you can see it was more like a dusting. We found a very small hill and went sledding. It was fun but lasted only a few minutes. Jake loved it and Libby wasn't very thrilled about going fast down a hill. I know who will be sitting with mom at the amusement parks waiting for the boys to ride the big roller coasters! ha.

We want Coco!

"Coco", also known as Corinna was our au pair from Nordhorn, Germany. She arrived in the US to help me with Lib and J in August 2007 and was here for one year. She was here for one month of the newbies lives, then returned to Germany (and boy, if there were a time I could use somebody it would be now!). Libby and Jake absolutely ADORE her. When a package arrives at our door, they excitedly say, "Coco". She recently sent me a CD to watch of her life in Germany now and I was in complete tears watching it. It was very touching and interesting to see her holiday, family, and tour of her house. She is near to our hearts and we miss her dearly. We are hoping for a reunion with her and her au pair friends sometime in the coming years!

Pittsburgh's going to the Super Bowl!

Our team, the Pittsburgh Steelers are going to the Super Bowl. We went to Super Bowl XL, which was in Detroit, MI in February 2006. Yes, the actual game was inside Ford Field, but that didn't help the 8+ hours we stood outside to tailgate at our car. Brr. It was cold. That year we played the Seahawks and won. It was magical to see! We wish we were going to the game again this year, but we have 4 good reasons why we aren't. Oh, and the fact that Dave is currently unemployed doesn't help.

Two Sets of Twins

Life has been crazy around here. Our family has grown two by two. We are running on little sleep and lots of caffiene (ok, and lots of wine too)! Libby and Jake are now two, the 'newbies' are now 6 months old. We are really learning about the terrible two's. Libby and Jake are pushing us to our limits. But at the end of the day, we are so happy to have all these kids. We realize how lucky we are to have 4 healthy, beautiful children. We know that SOMEDAY it WILL get easier. We're just waiting for that day!
